Inktomi Gone Wild

    I have noticed that the above Bot has been going crazy as of late.

    Does anyone else see the increased activity from INK?

    Not really. I have however seen lots of hits from msn bots. I'm getting hit by msn almost more than google.

    Well MSN has been very active for quite a while, I have noticed the same thing you did. But Inktomi (yahoo slurp or whatever you want to call it) has been crawling a lot more recently also.

    I have seen IBM go crazy also, I think they are selling data to other providers as a back end supplier.

    MSN is preparing for their release. I think they are doing a lot of tracking and research of what we are doing with our pages between visits etc... and just flat out building a new database.

    We need the competition.
