Placing AdSense on a page you're selling products on

So I have a site with a 'buy our widgets' page, selling a few of our widgets.. now although it may sound silly placing AdSense on this page and leaking traffic, the majority of visitors are International, and we only ship to the UK.

This way the International's (90% of visitors) can click the AdSense ads once they see we only sell to the UK, and the UK visitors can just browse our products.

I can't see anything in the TOS that says you can't place AdSense on 'product' pages, but does this sound ok to you folks ?

    Cheers,

    Pete

I think its pretty much the done thing and doesn't break TOS or program policies. BTW what does a widget go for these days :)

Well.. the widgets market is very saturated these day's, don't you think ? I estimate the price of widgets has fallen 4-fold since the introduction of AdSense. :D

they'll often place ads by your competitors though.

Good point. I'll have to create a balance, or may be an entirely different URL. www.widgets.co.uk, perhaps.. and leave the .com as an information portal for the widgets with AdSense to compliment it for International visitors.

I'll just have to do a lot of testing.

    Thanks,

    Pete

I would definitely put adsense on a site/page selling a product. Remember, you can always "block" URLs of your competitors if you choose to do so, I think up to 200 of them.

I've found that blocking your competitors is detrimental to your earnings. Personally speaking.
