Harley Davidson/ Motorcycle Experience?

I'm working on a new project for a really cool Harley Davidson accessory. It's a laser engraved windshield that lights up. It can actually be used on any motorcycle but we're targeting HD first. Does anyone have a related site or any experience marketing in this area? My site is www.glowshield.com. I plan to do a lot of pay-per-click.

    Just thought I'd ask?

Biker magazines are the place to reach this market - if you can get them to do a feature article on it you'll be set.

    Do you offer club logos?

Yes - - we'll do any custom logo / artwork for $50 extra. Thanks for the advice, someone else is actually focusing on print, I was hoping for internet advice.

Definately target HD first. If you can get the offical license from them, you will make insta-millions (well, maybe not that easily, but I used to work for the offical licensee for Harley-Davidson jewelry and you can sell anything with an HD logo ;) ...). I think your best bet would be to sponsor some motorcycle runs/events. Occasionally, just offering to give one away at an event can get you some sponsor credits. There are several chapters of differnet motorcycle clubs in almost every city and they are always having events. I understand that you are more interested in internet marketing, but in my opinion, not that many motorcyclists are into the internet, yet. When I was working for HD Jewelry, I had to deal with all the HD dealerships and many of them didn't even have websites!

Txs for the advice! We approached HD and they told us to go sell some first?!? We have the patent so I'm not worried about getting to them first, I also think they're concerned about the legality of it (liability). In the mean time, I've contacted hundreds of chapters ~~ but the response is very slow.
