ADAWARE new version released!

Adaware has released a brand new verion of the Spyware/Adware scanner as of August 9th, 2004

I have removed the old version from my box and am going to do a new download of the new version.

Is this better than the other adware scanners?

 

It is the number 1 downloaded program in the world, go to www.download.com and you will see that.

This is the free version, while you are at it, DOWNLOAD.com also has SPYBOT 1.3 as the number 2 most downloaded program.

You should download both of these programs and use them, remember you must update the profiles on both programs or you will NOT have the latest scanning profiles.

Another good FREE program is SPYWARE Blaster, which runs like a antivirus program, not allowing spyware and adware to load in the first place, instead of running scans and removing bad files like ADAWARE AND SPYBOT 1.3 do.

Does the new version detect the Google Toolbar as Spyware?

 

I do not know because I do not use the GooBar.

They claim that they take care of data mining programs, but in the past the spyware companies have had bias toward Google out of fear.

But who has not feared them in the business.

What the future holds, who knows?

I know that the Alexa toolbar was in the profiles, but even if it catches the files in the scan, if you want to keep the toolbars, just don't check the remove boxes.

 

Or better yet put it on the exclusion list.
