Wow, I always hang out in the affiliate forum. This Adsense forum is super busy! Blogged about this today and wanted to come and start a thread here too. Many affiliates use Adsense along with affiliates links even though one ad source can hurt the revenue of the other. I also see many affiliates sites, that simply don't use Adsense as well as they could. Today I found a really solid compilation of tips over at Graywolf's Wolf-Howl blog. The article starts out with some of the basic general stuff and then moves to more specific topics. Graywolf's Wolf-Howl: Google Adsense Tips, Tricks, and Secrets http://www.wolf-howl.com/2005/07/google-adsense-tips-tricks-and-secrets.html Enjoy the Adsense tips, then come back to discuss them and share your own...
Good summary...not a lot of new material but really well organized and gives a sense of the "state of the art". Thank you.
Yes nice summary. I always get a little frustrated though when I see things all laid out nicely like that after most of us here have read, posted, read, tested, changed, read, tested, changed, read, posted.... and then somebody can go take it all in, in about 5 minutes.
I feel so dirty and I am now saying that this is not ideal, someone may click the ad under a sony vio notebook and its an ad for a site that does not sell sony notebooks. images of generic looking black laptops with no branding would be better.
Just wondering, on one of my sites I have 3 seperate Ad units and one additonal link unit. Thats would be a total of 4. Does that go against the TOS? I was trying to find out this afternoon. Thanks,
Ok good point about using generic photos, something I should have been more specific about. I've added the folowing Thanks for helping me make it a better article
