The top question on googles help page is "How much will I earn through this program?" They can't say, of course, and advise you to "sign up and start showing ads on your web pages" which is true, it only takes a few minutes to set up and the code to show ads is a simple copy-paste job. But it is easy to work out how much you could earn:



This may have been done before, but if not it is a simple way to workout a range given that you should know your impressions, so if you have a site (or many sites) that have combined daily impressions of 10,000 then you will earn between USD 5 and USD 150 a month.

The aim of this table + post is to help adSense noobs with low impressions realise it is not easy cash and noobs with high impressions realise what they could be earning. And all us other noobs do some wishful thinking

Also there was an update to the TOS that meant that under-performing accounts could get closed, so if you are only getting a few impressions, maybe it would be best to build that up before you add any ads.

A CTR of 1% is VERY low, and should only happen if your ads are not targeted or badly placed. A CPC of USD 0.05 (average) would be if you were getting some PSA ads or your sites topic is just not that popular.

I have given 3 cost per clicks and 3 click through ratios, so you can work out a range. If anyone knows of somewhere this is already done please link it up and if my calculations are wrong, or you think the 3 CPC and CTR's are not good choices or anything I have said is wrong... then please PM or reply to this post so I can update it.

Are adsense impression figures accurate?

ie If you have three adverts on a page and that page is loaded once is that classed as 3 impressions or 1?

Should do 5 million impressions this month according to adsense figures.

unique visitors, but google does not report that.

your adsense report shows page impressions by default. you can switch to ad unit impressions if you like (using dropdown). so this is your answer to what adsense impressions actually mean.

I get about almost 2 million page impressions per month and i can't really confirm those figures. My overall earnings are about half less.
