SEO Podcast: Shannon And Greg Seo Show

Hi there, if you look in my Sig, you will see I have a link to my SEO pod cast. While I just started it, I have been thinking of ways to take it over the top so that you the listeners can benefit from our SEO knowledge. So the Idea me and a friend came up with is a show called:

Shannon And Greg SEO Show

We plan on having Talented SEO Gurus on the show as well to get you more inside info. Before we start this though, we wanted to know what you thought. Basically it will be a show where we talk about SEO and answer questions you may have, as well as get special guests to answer questions real time! It would be a weekly show, approx 45 mins to 1 hr or longer...

Please give us a Yes or No vote if you think its a good idea or not.

 

Sounds good... problem being that you are competing with Webmaster Radio - which has some pretty big names.....

Have you looked to see what competition there is out there?

 

I voted yes as I think its a great idea even if you are competing with Webmaster Radio and the likes.

As the gypsy said they have some big names but maybe you can give the 'small name' gurus a chance to voice their experience, there are many out there.

Does anyone know of any other SE centric podcasts outside of WMR?

Can't think of any others myself?

 

Mr SEO has one, but he doesn't give out a lot of really really good info. The only problem I see with a pod cast like this is that it could take away some SEO business from the big guys... Not sure that is a good thing, there will always be those who just want to have it done though.

 

How so? Watcha thinking? I'd be interested in the train of thought...

I know for me at least, I wouldn't be concerned. We are generally busy, get work from referrals and elsewhere, and don't often take on new clients. I'd say I turn down 9 out of 10 projects that come in here (if not higher 9.5).

If a pod cast takes some of those away .. great. ha ha ha.. it is time consuming dealing with people looking to be top 10 in Google for $1000.

I'll stick to the shadows for now...

Yes do the show, but also provide a transcript if possible.

 

This is a GREAT idea and is good for the viral nature of it as people can review it, pass on info on Blogs etc.. much easier with a transcript to quote from

 

I could probably do a highlight transcript, where I just write what we talked about. Wouldn't be to tough.

OK good news, the first pod cast will be uploaded today if all goes as planned! We will be starting with a discussion on the Meta Title tag, its importance. And how a title tag should be constructed properly.
