http://www.sparewheeltheft.co.uk/ Hi guys, any opinions as to why this isn't ranking well would be great. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Vauxhall+zafira&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&start=240&sa=N The site does really well on Y! and MSN but just can't do anything on Google. There are a few backlinks... http://www.google.com/search?q=link%3Awww.sparewheeltheft.co.uk&sourceid=firefox&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 Just can't seem to get it any higher... Cheers in advance guys... SEbasic <edit> Forgot to add that allinanchor: it is #1 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&q=allinanchor:Vauxhall+Zafira&btnG=Search </edit>
Looks like you're ranking a steady 4th/5th on most Big Gs, 3rd in Google Sweden... How long's your site been going for? Keep going on those backlinks, only another 24 days or so to go for the next boost
I can't see the site until #240ish. The site has been online for about 2 months or so now. It belongs to a friend of mine... I helped with the SEO on the site. I can't see it anywhere near 4/5 on the big G... Am I going nuts???
Nope. I'm goin' Nuts - My mistake SEbasic, your link certainly does include &start=240... I was just swapping the extension so at least you're consistent Internationally at #240-ish More backlinks, more backlinks, there's another one for the next BL update
I just don't get it though. How come it is so high on Y! and M$N but not G? Loads of Bl's considering the competition. It really should be higher. Is there anything staring out at you in terms of bad SEO?
IMHO it looks like you've done everything required plus gone building BLs. Only thing that springs to mind is "how many pages in the site?" - Shawn's comment here seems to indicate that size does matter to Big G. More pages?
Yeah, I guess - But there are quite a few pages (not thousands) but I would have thought enough. http://www.sparewheeltheft.co.uk/stolen-vauxhall-zafira-spare-wheel-site-map.html Let's not forget that this IS NOT a competitive phrase. It should be doing better than this.
I could continue to speculate without a definitive answer (where's Compar when you need him?) and might add that, with only 2 months on the clock, it could be "sandboxed"... maybe next update it'll be there?
Which did you want me for? Speculation or definite answer? I feel like I know less and less about Google as every day goes by. But without doing a lot of investigation I would say it is simply the sandbox effect.
