I don't know if it's just me that is wondering this, but aren't we due for a Page Rank update? I know we had a weird backlink update.. but no sign of change in PR?

Does any one have an educated guess?

This week would be a reasonable guess (3 weeks from the last update). But who knows...

I think all we can really do is wait :)

Been a long time since the last, though.

The last update was somehow broken... I'm not sure we should count it.

But never the less it was an update. The only PR update seen was sites dropping to PR0 (like one of mine). As someone stated above hopefully this week sometimes. GoogleBot has been absent one of my sites for the past 3 days now and it's usually there religously, so I hope this is a sign that it's getting ready to update. Maybe this weekend coming.... who knows.... Google has just been playing a lot of games lately.

I was guessing for an update around Aug 8th-11th. The last update was pretty weird.

I wonder if google is doing something different due to worm attacks? Did they pull some update machines to handle more search queries? or Maybe I'm just not getting enough sleep :)

I wonder if PR is coming? Also the G bots are hitting the forum again.

Actually, there was some PR update. 2 new pages of mine went from PR0 to PR6. Another similarly linked page stayed at PR0

Well, the bot presence has nothing to do with it, but you are right... some data centers are showing updated back links, but still no updated PageRank.

Yeah same in uk backlinks updated but no pr movement, seems logical that the pr moves after the update to standadize across the board, or is that wrong?

I have several sites that have always been at PR 5 -6. Today they are showing nothing. The PageRank bar does not indicate zero it says "No PageRank information available". All the BW links are still the same.

What is "No PageRank information available"? I have never seen that before.

My PR bar has been saying that for two or three days now. I am working with Google to try and find out why.

Hi compar - I just ran across your post re this in another thread and clicked where you said on the logo etc to do an unistall. Thanks for that info.

After I uninstalled I reinstalled the latest version a few minutes ago and all is working great now. You will already know the link but here it is for convenience:
    http://toolbar.google.com/

The new version has a great feature of a pop up ad blocker.

I did see two sites' PR I track drop today from 4 and 5 to 0 for no apparent penalty reason. Didn't affect SERPs and BLs were up!

I'm really looking forward to a PR update, my links page is PR 0 after I renamed it(it was PR 5 before), after the rename, Google shows links.xxx as back links again, I feel very bad about it.

well, I'd never name something links.xxx anymore. not because I think google (or any search engine) penalizes it but because SO many people believe they do- it's such a hassle to try to explain to people that they're not penalized, so I'd much rather just go with "resources.xxx" or something.

Still got PR0 on sites which are 2 months old. Why would I not have something by now?

I've read quite a few people comment on how their page rank has dropped to Zero recently or shaded out totally, but would love to hear if anyone knows a reason for this. My site too has dropped down to zero in the past week, since my back links went up. Could we assume that it has something to do with Google's current update. Has anyone else seen their PR drop to zero during an update, and if so, does the PR normally rise up again soon after, or when the PR update takes place?
When one of my customer's sites that had dropped to a PR0 a few weeks ago, and just received a drop in backlinks, BUT, their page rank has just risen in the last few days!
So obviously there doesn't have to be a PR update for the page rank to drop to zero or rise up from zero.
