Lightbulb What tracking/analytics product are you using.

Is anyone here using a web analytics solution - WebTrends, HitsLink, HitBox, etc? If so what are you using and how does it help you?

I'm still evaluating a couple. Look here for the feedback I received from some DP members.

I forgot to mention - I currently use awstats on most of my smaller sites. I like it a little better than webalizer.

tflight will become famous soon enough
Currently using awstats but moving up to Urchin soon. And yes, the stats help a ton. I look at them several times per day for analysis.

If you have a Windows server, take a look at WebLog Expert. I run it as a service on the server, and it updates the reports every 15 minutes. I can then quickly and easily check the stats anytime I want from the web. So, the solution works a lot like LiveStats for me. I really like LiveStats, except it has one major drawback...it cuts of the dynamic part of URLs. Since so much of the web uses dynamic addresses now, that makes it a lot less useful. WebLog Expert does not do this...so, I switched to it about a year ago. Really nice.

Another interesting service that folks here might like is Visitorville.com. It's dubbed as "sim city meets web analytics". I'm not sure how deep/sophisticated the analytics are, but it gives you a nice (cute?) visual representation of what's happening on your site. I think the price is also very reasonable.

I mentioned this another thread, but www.sawmill.net is a great solution and if you beta test, you can get it at no cost.
