My site was submitted to yahoo June of 2004 and added to their index around August of 2004. Finally this weekend additional pages are being added to their index 10,000+ backlinks and almost 12 months later. I tried every trick in the book to speed up the process, RSS, Blogs etc. Looks like time is the only true factor so hang in there.
i think there is other factors as well....what are they...i have no idea. "I" believe, the type of site may make a difference as well....maybe
A huge help is to get listed in Yahoo directory. I launched a site about 2 months ago and got listed in their directory about 2-3 weeks ago. That was a jump from nowhere to top 20 in SERPs. The targeted keywords are probably not extremely competitive, but it still proves for me that being listed in their directory affects the ranking big time...
I am getting high serps for my key terms even without a directory listing or a large amount of pages indexed.
More of my pages are appearing again. I am wondering if yahoo is updating or something. I hope this means a lot of my pages start showing up finally...
FYI: Hang in there folks, in a matter of days yahoo is returning 1400+ indexed pages after having only 1 in the index for almost a year.
my web sites went up from 4000 indexed pages to 10000 indexed pages but traffic go down by 30% ..... confused!
