I have written more than 50 articles for a client in DP, I have worked with him before but this time he ignores me after getting the articles... Some of the articles are already published (http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=8499791) without being paid by him... He has a good itrader in DP, I have dealt with him before but this time he ignores me... I have emailed him for last 7 days, he already visited this forum on 13th April but not answering my pms and emails... Its more than 7 days and therefore I have no choice left other than to go to public... If I give him negative iTrader he will give me negative Itrader and will not pay me (I will be in loss, so this is not the solution)... Here is the link of the profile of that member http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=467225 His user id is ContentConnections Email Address :- PayPal Address :- contentconnections@hotmail.co.uk Name according to PayPal Address :- Louis Barclay-Jones Address according to PayPal Address Shipping address 481 Streetsbrook road solihull, West Midlands b91 1la United Kingdom Moderator please look into this matter and I want help from you guys... What can I do and whom I can trust?
He also got 3 negatives in the space of one month. Maybe you should have ready his feedback more carefully! You will find moderators will not intervene in this issue. This is between you two guys.
Sometimes you can not judge with only negative itraders, I have worked with him earlier but this time he cheated me... I will not let him go, I will complain everywhere in which he publishes the article... And if anyone know this guy please help me to catch him...
First I would suggest removing his address from this thread as it is violating his privacy. Second, this happened to me a couple of weeks ago by a member named Beerjacket. He also used the articles that I wrote for him and placed them on his website. After stringing me along for payment I still haven't received it. I contacted a mod but they do not get involved in member disputes. The only thing I can suggest doing IS leaving him negative feedback and then asking for upfront payments in future. You can also use an escrow service for your business deals. It really isn't fair but not much you can do
I will not remove his address from the thread, this guy is cheater and I want everybody should recognize this cheater... And from tomorrow I will try to trace this guy where he is active, I will not let him go...
Its your choice and I'm not suggesting you let the situation lie, but if he sees his address on here you are more than likely to get into more trouble than he is for scamming you. At least block out the number of his house and the postcode to be safe.
We cannot deny the fact that: "Cheaters are anywhere, anytime!" Let us be careful and beware those who are already known to be one of them.
I usually don't comment on controversial matters. I think things get too stirred up sometimes... You haven't heard from this guy, so you don't know why he hasn't paid you. 7 days is NOT a super long time. If we were all working in an office together, it would be easy to see where someone was, if they were sick or on a vacation or what was going on. Look at what's gone on in the past. Has he/she paid you regularly? Communicated with you quickly/on time? Maybe they are swamped with a project or a family obligation. The other side of the coin, 50 articles may be a big project to take on without some sort of pre payment. I don't know how much you are earning - but perhaps your client can prepay you part of the project in advance from now on. 7 days is NOT enough time to decide this person is a cheater. I would suggest you put yourself in the other person's shoes, perhaps they are busy with something. It is frustrating they have not responded, but still does not mean they are a cheater! This is just my "two cents," my opinion but I would give them a chance. A bit more time to hear from them. Abby
I agree with you, 7 days is not a long time... But I have seen he already active in this forum, you can see his last activity is on 13th April... and I sent email and pm from 11th April...
He bid on my auction, won it but didn't even cared to reply. People like this gives a bad name to the forum. Its obviously stated when you bid at DP system you are bounded to the bid.
From here on in, write a partial article for approval. If the person likes it, get your money upfront, finish writing it, and then send it to him.
What you will do when a person has good iTrader and already has a business with you? By the way he never said he was not satisfied with the quality, he already used my articles...
Yes I know, but he has already 29 positive feedbacks and also I have done business with him before but this time he cheats me... Then whom you can trust? Internet business is all about trust, is not it?
3 negative itraders in the last 20 feedback given. That's a pretty damn good reason not to trust the buyer, or at the very least request 50% upfront payment.
Yes, may be my fault to trust this guy, but I will not let him go... I will check every article through CopyScape and where I will find my articles I will complain to Google or to the hosting company...
Working for something -- investing time, effort and creativity -- and only later found out not being paid is a pain the ++s! We should really be careful with whom we deal with.
