"Tip #1 - It's easy to keep your ads fresh with a bit of imagination and a lot of ad color options. You get 216 colors and 24 pre-set color palettes to choose from. You can also try rotating up to four different color palettes at a time to see if that causes a spike in clickthrough rates.

Tip #2 - If you have multiple websites in the AdSense program, you can track the performance (revenue, clicks, CTR) of each website by assigning each site to a specific channel and generating results in your custom channel reports. You can also track the performance of different as formats, colors and specific pages.

Tip #3 - Try placing ads above the fold, or placing an inline rectangle smack in the middle of the page and have you text wrap around it. Experiment with a variety of placements to identify the one that best improves your CTR and revenue

Tip #4 - Sometimes a bigger as format works better. To see what works best for you, try a larger ad format (such as a wide skyscraper or a large rectangle) and use out channels tools to see if it attracts more user attention and increases CTR.

Tip #5 - You now have the option to display image ads through Google AdSense. Running a combination of image and text ads expands the available as inventory for your site, and offers the potential for increased revenue. In fact, AdSense technology determines which combination of image and text ads will make you the most money, and runs those ads automatically..."

There are 3 more tips, but I'm too tired to type them and I have to get up in 5 hours to play frisbee golf with my bro and dad...Goodnight :D !

Hmmm.....it really seems that the URL that they refer to on the booklet has the same info as the booklet....I already get about 600 clicks a week, but it seems that all the ads are low paying ones.....does it depend on the content of the website? Anyone?

Yeah, it is dependant upon the content of the page.

If you have a page about web hosting, you could be looking at $4+ for each click.
If you have a page about Nigritude Ultramarine, your ads will be worth significantly less.

It definitely depends on the content of the site. If you have a site that is generally about topics that are low paying keywords (for example webmaster or SEO tools), you definitely get a low payment per click.

This is true. So you could write pages for certain keywords just to gain more advertising revenue, but then you might not have the best information on that topic.

Oh and BTW I got one of these green little Google booklets as well. I thought I was soo specail actually getting something from Google. I asked a co-worker of mine if they got one too, but he just recently signed up, so that was a no go. I was wondering if they only sent them out to people who "needed help" since I haven't recieved a check since May when I signed up. (I haven't made enough yet) :)
