I've done it, i've finally hit the $10/week mark To all of you big adsense whores out there who earn $3m a day, you'll probably laugh at me, but now i can walk down the street, puff my chest out and look around me with pride, and a sense of achievement. I've finally mastered the art of adsense and will be getting a big fat $100 cheque through the post next month. Oh yeah, that's right, one hundred dollars. (after 6 months) So i thought i'd share my tips with you noObs earning $0.15 a week. Do it Have an idea? Have an idea that you couldn't be bothered acting on.. just do it.. buy the domain, make the site and get traffic to it. If you set up one site a month, you'll have 12 this time next year. Content Content doesn't have to be unique, but it has to keep the reader busy and keep them on your site for at least a few seconds so the site will need to look like it has lots of content and sub pages, even if it doesn't and is just taken off an rss feed. Traffic The more traffic the better. Simple as that. Despite the fact you've a greater chance of visitors clicking ads, traffic will boost Alexa ranking and possibly pagerank if people blog/digg your site, mention it on forums etc... Put your sites on forum sigs, blog about them, stumble them, digg them, delicous them... basically under cover spam. Change In order to keep visitors coming back and keep the search spiders coming back, you need change - again the more the merrier. New articles, new features, new ads, new design... just keep things constantly moving and changing. Revenue Without all the above, you won't have revenue. So before you look at your adsense account, do the above. Use traffic stats to analyse whats working, where people are coming from etc.. then act on it. For example if you notice 50% of visitors are coming from your DP sig, then post more on DP, and stop spending $5 a month on text links on some automated PR 4 blog site which gives you 10 unique hits a month.
Some googd tips there, but there is no need to keep altering the design to attract search spiders. In that regard, adding content will be much more useful. I think the idea of acting on the ideas is a useful one but often neglected by webmasters.
I add passion and patience to the above list. I earned $7 in november. My earnings in december are $68. I will make $150 in january. It is just hard work and passion.
Congratulations ! I've happy about your success . I earned over 2400$ per month . If U want U would visit my site for infomation . My site : http://makemoney.tnty.net Have Fun .
Agree completely - there's nothing harder than carrying on when day after day you see something like $0.07 in revenue. If you are willing to put the effort in though, then there is a light (and more importantly a cheque ) at the end of the tunnel. December was my first $1000+ month - here's to many more!
Congrats on the $10 per week. That's a huge accomplishment indeed. The pretty soon you'll be at $20 and climbing. In the end, you'll never find that any $$ amount is enough - it's only a new challenge to do better. My thoughts these days are - "if I am making $60 per day - I can do this, this and this and likely double that." I'm really excited for you and with you though. You'll look back on this in the future and just remember when... Gayla MomGadget.com
Although this is a nice achievement, it still does not 'pay' enough in comparison to the time you put into it. $10/week == $1.43/day. If you'll work 1 HOUR a week in a supermarket, you'll almost make more money... In your post you say that you have to change to design -> don't! Maybe it will trigger the search-engines to return faster, but your returning visitors will think they visit a brand new site every time. Create one/two good layouts, and stick to them. Btw, $10/week is OK when it's a passive site, not when it's consuming too much time
I am on same level 20$/week. Bottom line - once you will archive some level in adsense, you will hardly fall back to zero. Isn't beautiful))))?
