Turkish PayPal Problem (PayPal New Terms) !!!

It seems today paypal changed its terms on turkish paypal accounts !!!

You are unable to (send money) or (do payments) to a non turkish paypal account (from your paypal balance) !!!

Example:

Send money from turkish paypal to non turkish paypal (By Credit Card) YES
PayPal Payment from turkish paypal to non turkish paypal (By Credit Card) YES

Send money from turkish paypal to turkish paypal (By PayPal Balance) YES
PayPal Payment from turkish paypal to turkish paypal (By PayPal Balance) YES


Send money from turkish paypal to non turkish paypal (By PayPal Balance) NO
PayPal Payment from turkish paypal to non turkish paypal (By PayPal Balance) NO


Anyone have turkish paypal?

Do you know how to resolve it?

yes I have the same problem. It doesn't let me do the payments that I needed to do via my paypal balance. I don't know if it is a policy change or some temporary thing about Turkish government...

I sent a mail to paypal regarding the issue. Hope I can get a response soon enough.
It is a shame if they take our rights to send cash from our paypal balances. Some payments just can not be done with credit card because of their huge amounts. And you have to suffer from conversions rates at your bank.

Anyway I really hope this is temporary :/

If any of you gets a reply from paypal please share. I am wondering what the hack did RTE and his guys did now.

 

3 days before we all... me and all my 3 friends sent ticket to paypal (from our paypal account) but still no reply yet. we will wait until Monday. if no reply we will call to paypal directly...

I hope this problem was related to technical problem of (x.x) to (x,x) numeral format

 

Now i received this message from paypal:

Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding to complete your payment  from your balance.

Paypal currently only allows you to use your credit card for international payments. You cannot currently make a payment to PayPal user outside of Turkey from your Turkish Lira or other Currency PayPal balance.

I kindly advise you try making the international payment which was denied using your credit card.

You can use your PayPal balance for national transactions, and can withdraw the sum in your balance to your credit card or bank account.

I understand your frustration regarding this matter and regret any inconvenience this might have caused.

seems some paypal executives decided to fvck the entire company by making all ountries customers to leave pp

No, we won't be able to send payment to overseas with our paypal balance from now on until further rules. Only via CC.

This is somewhat different from India based new rules because there aren't any announcements or news or clear change policies about the subject. Neither from PayPal or from any other sources.
A day we wake up and suddenly discover the new rule by ourselves

I even found this website by searching the "Because of Turkish currency controls, you will not be able to use your PayPal balance for this payment. You might be able to make this payment using a credit card." sentence on google. There aren't any other news or details... I'm very curious about the situation.

I hope there won't be any problems about accepting payments to PayPal account. We'll see.

 

I have just received payment to my paypal account from US (Mine is a Turkish Account) however I cant send to overseas and this sucks. I dont know if it is due to paypal or Turkish Govt. but it sucks this will definitely bring harm to both as they will suffer from loosing client or income from foreign countries while making people suffer.

 

Receiving is not a problem and I don't think it will be a problem... but paying with balance is forbidden for now and I think it is because of govt. So the funds within paypal balance must enter a valid Turkish bank in order to be taxed. we might have to pay taxes for each dollar that has come via paypal to us

 

the problem is that if you send money from paypal to your bank they do not ask for taxes in Turkey as there is no such obligation. so this is just to mkae paypal and banks richer with rates

 

It appears this is the result of greed of Turkish government. They simply want to tax the these funds. The only way to achieve this is to actually have these funds transferred to a Turkish bank. Thus they can get their greedy little hands on these funds and tax the shit out of them....

 

Happened to me this morning as well. Tried to buy three things using paypal, three different sites and all told to use credit card.

Checked small print of Paypal and there is already seven odd restricted currencies in place so it seems they have added Turkey to the list.

Angry is an understatement. If I wanted to use a credit card, I would of done so in the first place

 

Ok this means Paypal lost Turkey
