Ok, my question is basically How do you go about uploading your own video to one of your sites? My problem is I am not a good video "guy" I am not talking about embedding a youtube video or something like that, but rather a video that I recorded and have on my PC. Couple of questions: The video file is .wmv file and seems very large at 32 mb. Video is 24 mins long and is a screen recording with my voice. So, do I need to re-do the video as another file? just convert the file? and how can I show the video on my site? The site is self hosted Wordpress blog. Similar to how you see some Mini Site sales pages with the video just sitting there on the page waiting for someone to hit "play"... that is what I am after. Thanks.
Oh, guys, nowdays, youtube is popular website to upload videos. right? to make and upload videos onto youtube, just follow me to use Youtube Movie Maker, it can make and upload youtube videos from various videos, pics, musics, texts, etc. you can have a try, maybe you will be interesting in it. Good luck.
Unless you have a dedicated server it's not a good idea to put video on your server - takes up too many resources and nobody else will be able to visit your site, maybe even with only one person watching. If you have a shared server - you may even be breaking your terms of use and they could shut you down (eg JustHost don't allow it) Even if they don't explicitly state you can't use videos, you will most likely exceed your share of hosting resources (eg nor more than 10% for 1 minute) Cheapest way to start is using a free screencast account or pay them $10 a month for up to 200Gb of traffic. After that Amazon s3 is the way to go
