Do you guys think that when paying for ads on adwords, your website actually gets more repeated visitors? I advertised for 2 months, and then after I stopped, all the traffic just stopped coming.
Repeat visitors is not really what Adwords is all about; it will drive traffic to your site whilst ads are running, but that's only because users are clicking on the ads. If you're after repeat traffic, you have to build loyalty and/or brand recognition yourself and Adwords can't help you with that. If repeat visitors is your goal, then you need to take a more critical look at your retention mechanisms and user engagement.
Yes, it does work. You might also want to try MSN Ad Center. It's Bing and Yahoo combined for PPC. The ads last a lot longer, and the click-thrus are very good!
Depends on your site content. Is there content that will make ppl want to come back again and again? Adwords traffic will bring you visitors - in fact they'll bring in as much as you want. Just be prepared to pay.
It all depends on the content of your site. The visitors from AdWords campaigns I've managed on web hosting sites usually have some of the lowest time on site and return visitor ratings.
Only if you got something interesting on your site then only a visitor is gonna come back on it or bookmark it. Otherwise you will keep spending money on Adwords and new ones will keep coming.
You'll want to find an alternative way to get visitors to your site. I think you'll find Adwords an expensive way to get instant visitors; it seems better suited for businesses selling goods/services that visitors are looking to purchase instantly.
As pointed out, visitors will come back only if you give them a reason to come back or remind them. Using PPC to get one-visit traffic is not a good strategy. You got to maximize the cost of that traffic. Do all you can to make them come back. Let's say you are an aquarium supplies store. Ways to make visitors come back (and/or buy again): * get their email. Send newsletters about fish care and other articles. * Send emails about specials you may have and new products. * Send emails with a discount coupon. * When they buy, put a sticker on product to remind them to buy again from you. For example, if they bought fish food, a sticker on the package reminding them to buy the next package from you. * Again if they bought, entice them with a discount coupon or some other incentive. * put stickers with your site on everything you sell. Don't let them forget about you. * Have a loyalty program, contests. * Obviously, give them what they want. Be it lower prices, fast shipping, guarantees, easy online shopping (is your shopping cart complicated to use?) or whatever it might be. Doing a customer survey will help to improve things (check out sites like www.shopperapproved.com for such things) * Do a re-marketing campaign on sites they may visit which displays Adwords. In this case, the kinds of sites would be fish forums and possibly pet forums. Your ad can pop up thus branding your site. It takes an average of 7 visits before they buy. If your visitors, by whatever means, natural or paid, don't come back, you need to figure out why. Chances are, you're not giving them what they are looking for. But if you do, the cost of that click will pay for itself hundreds of times over. The goal is not only to get a low CPC but figure out the lifetime value of that click. You may spend $1 now and never see that visitor again. But if he comes back again and again, the value of that click is much greater.
Visitor healthy information should be on your website and your services should be genuine if one time any visitor comes on your website and close the deal (sale), it means he will come back and inform to his friends about your website.
Adwords is too expensive most of the time there are others out there that will improve your RIO *cough* "cough*^
Google Adwords works best for business sites. It can of course work for content sites but as people have said to ensure repeat visitors there are probably more effective methods such as creating quality content that engages visitors. Building links and generally creating an SEO strategy.
Google AdWords works very well for what it is intended to do: bring visitors who are searching on subjects/keywords that are related to your website. For repeat traffic/business to occur, other methods should be employed, like those mentioned above: autoresponders, building a following/reputation/etc. Best.
I tried it, however there was lots of fake hits. But google did its best to investigate and refunded the money!
adwords is one of the fastest way to get visitors to our site. but do not expect they will increase our income.
It would be nice if you could track your adwords campaign to see if you were getting repeat customers from an ad.
