Will Alex Tew's Pixelotto Fail?

I am sure you are aware of Alex Tew's latest project Pixelotto http://www.pixelotto.com where he gives you the chance to win a million, and of course he wants to make a million dollars again...

But, recently I couldnt help but notice that the figure has remained $143,500...is the interest dying already?

What do you guys think? Will he succeed or fail?

Personally - He will succeed due to his popularity in the past...

I tried it for the hell of it. On the first day it worked fine, I clicked on ten websites. The second day it didn't work, I couldn't get any credit for any websites I clicked. So, I gave up.

Yes personally I have lost interest in the whole concept but I am always curious as how much he makes....

Maybe he should have invested in a MySpace type of website?

He's gunna need a very strong and persuasive sales team if he wants to pull this off by the looks of it!

I don’t think he can do it again. It was popular when it came out for the first time but now it’s old news. I doubt it will become a success.

I think he will do well if he gets rid of the errors on the site plus he has the added bonus of being able to advertise on a very well known website

Nope, he won't be able to do it.

With the first site he had the enormous boost of buzz. He was mentioned everywhere.
Now it's just another wannabe site.

He's lost his 'story' - the one of "College kid makes $1 million with idea".

    It's been done.

    Cheers

At the moment of writing, he has already made $144,100.

Will he make more? Most likely, but not due to a good concept.

The first pixel site had a good concept, the rest are just copycats.

The irony is that the owner of the first pixel site himself has managed to earn another pretty penny (and the figure will increase) with a copycat (let's face it, pixelotto is just another pixel concept website with a "twist"), while anyone else would have failed with this exact same website.

However, you can't blame a person for trying to squeeze what ever is left out of the concept he came up with, can you?

I say, Alex could have done so much more with a new site. In my opinion he's failed to make the mark with pixelotto. Providing visitors an incentive to click the ads was correct, however, making just one person a million dollar winner doesn't fair well with the general public....... the chances of winning aren't realistic.

However, www.pixaprize.com is a long-term, sustainable business concept, with the grid transformed into a treasure hunt grid and prizes hidden behind various squares for visitors to win. If that wasn't enough, visitors are given quirky "hot & cold" clues to help them find those prizes (turn off pop-ups to see these though!!).
Pixaprize gets visitors clicking and advertisers are much happier for the traffic. Appeasing both visitors and advertisers is what it's about and pixaprize hits the mark.

Unlucky Alex i say! should've copied pixaprize!

Funny, When I started Pixelllite.com thats exactly what I thought, ie. that the website had more scope. Even though I did not incorporate all that I had in mind, its still enough for the first site, considering I am competing with Alex Tew in a way, though he has his reputation as an advantage.

Yeah. I could win 30 million dollars by paying a dollar at my local convenience store, but what are the chances? It's not worth the time to me (or others I would imagine).

alex tew is just a noob. he is trying to make money off from the same scheme after bullshitting on his blog that he is planning something BIG.

he doesn't even have a blog where users can go and read.

For those interested, theres an interesting site here http://www.pixelottoreport.com where they are keeping an eye on how pixelotto is going, for example today 6 new advertisers have signed up so far and have spent a total of $1200 just for today, so thats $600 in Alex Tews pocket and $600 in the prize fund, not bad for one day.

I think it will work, but i'm guessing it will take a lot longer than his previous website took to complete.

I think he will make it. Whoever wanted to buy before the New Year did so in the first 2 weeks - now is vacation season.
