Hi people, Anyone know how I can optimize my site for regional rankings? Like for www.yahoo.ca? Or what do i have to in order to get yahoo to think my site is canadian and should rank in yahoo.ca? My webhost is in Canada and so is my whois information. Any replies will be appreciated! Thanks, DF
I would optimize your page with geo-specific keywords and use additional classification meta tags. Below are example tags if a company wanted to optimize for Las Vegas, Nevada. <meta name="classification" content="Your Main Keyword" > <meta name="site-language" content="English" > <meta name="geo.placename" content="Las Vegas, Nevada" > <meta name="geo.country" content="US" > <meta name="state" content="NV"> Hope this helps.
