Proven link building techniques you use regularly?

What link building methods / techniques proved themselves as most efficient / profitable for your business? Which of them you use on a regular basis? (multiple choice poll)

I would vote for guest blogging because you gain the backlink with the consent of the website owner.

 

Guest Blogging, Buying One way links, and Link Bait articles usually have the most success. You should try and get high quality one way links. Having a diversity of links is needed as well.

 

Two people mentioned guest blogging already. But is it really the most efficient way to use a well-written article? Wouldn't you get more links by submitting it to multiple article directories? I understand that with guest blogging, the link quality is much higher - but is one such link really worth more than 10-20 links from article directories?

 

Well, I also voted guest blogging. By the way i am looking for blogs to guest post? Does anyone have?

 

1 link is much stronger than 20 or more links from article directories when the website is hosted in different server/ip and has a high PR.

 

Forum posting for me. Finding the right forum/niche-related forum and put a signature there and do some forum posting is the best for me. Not only that you will get more links, you are also attracting targeted audience/

 

article marketing is the best for most of us when it comes to getting independent traffic and not waiting for JV's. Long term strategy is to use custom setting/works in XRumer and know what your doing with your money sites, sub-pages and related linked sites. But then of course, use everything in a human way or never put any of your links in google's webmaster tools.

 

Forum posting and article submissions help increase traffic over the long term

 

A lot of people vote up social bookmarking. Does it really work for anyone? I mean, as in producing indexed links visible in Yahoo Site Explorer or Google Webmaster Tools? Do those links last long, or do they fade away in a month? How exactly do you use social bookmarking sites to get dofollow links? I had zero success with this so far. Do you have to use automated tools like Bookmarking Demon, or does it make sense doing this with a few popular bookmarking sites by hand?

I also use something else called Link Wheeling I cant post links yet but if you google it plenty of explanations on how to do it

Press Releases are another great way to build some powerful links!

 

Agreed with Gurucreation, Press releases can be one of the most powerful way to build backlinks and for any site to go viral. I forgot about than one

In particular, social bookmarking is still something of a mystery for me - a lot of people vote it up, but no-one described in detail how to use it successfully for link building. Most of the popular bookmarking sites are nofollow.
