On 06-27-2005 01:03 PM I received a negative rating/reply for allegedly posting a duplicate topic. I could care less about a negative rating honestly, but I do care about being incorrectly labeled because someone did bother to look closely. Yes, I have a website called FreshDames which I market as Female Celebrity Sites. I had posted a separate topic about a brand new site, with a completely different URL regarding female-pics.com and labeled as Female Celebrity Forums; again, completely different content, url and hence, post .... Am I off my rocker or did someone react without reading?
This is almost laughable - I've actually gotten more neg ratings from this post alone - have at me ... can it go negative? My entire point for posting, was to point out that not only did someone apparently not read the topic I posted, but a moderator even deleted the post without realizing it was NOT a duplicate. Oh well ... professionalism is a subjective term not to be objectively applied in all instances apparently. I still enjoy stopping by here periodically - keep up the great work DP.
I guess the reson you are getting more negatives is because we are just so sick of people whining about getting reps. Grow up and move on.
I didn't post to "whine" about the neg rating - I already stated I could give a hoot, so click away. What concerned me was that a moderator actually pulled the post in question without giving it a look as it was not a duplicate. You can all love me, or all hate me - to each their own, really. However, I would hope that any mod or admin would have enough professionalism to look, read and investigate before acting / deleting. Sorry, I guess professionalism, integrity and good CRM are things for ... well, apparently very few. I don't see a problem with someone pointing out an error or sticking up for the principle of a matter; the matter was not the rating, it was the deletion of a post that was not duplicate. If you think I'm whining - have another go; this rating means what - ego? I've got enough ...
I have given up moaning on free forums, what do people expect for free On my rugby forum if I delete a post and someone is not happy then I offer a full refund
That is a might generous of you If you did one accidentally or without merit, I'm sure you'd take onus too? That's better than a refund any day. Cute reply - thanks for the smile.
PM Shawn if you want the post re-instated, he deleted it. I had a look and yes, they are different though appear similar. Not sure about calling him unprofessional though (or implying it). Mods make mistakes too you know...
TOPS30 - thanks for the second look. I realize we all make errors ... I would no sooner try to imply someone is unprofessional without merit than to allow my actions to be construed as such without merit; that's why you're taking the time to take a second look before posting or reacting means a lot. The post can remain deleted - that was never the issue. I can retype it faster than send a justification to Shawn and waste his time and add to his qeue; he's busy enough. Thanks again. Rob w®m
HA HA HA HA! Now that is funny! That deserves a green rating...but I'm too lazy to give you one. Someone green him!
Crazy_Rob - I'm guessing you branded with that moniker at an early age? LOL Very funny! Seeing you're from Chi-town and looking at that "robber" pic, makes me remember we use to refer to your neck of the woods at Capone County versus Cook ... I used to leave near Chambana (Champaign-Urbana) Have a great 4th!
Okay, my bad. I went back and looked again, and it is indeed different... I went ahead and restored the thread.
Thanks, Shawn! I appreciate you're taking the time to take a second look, moreover, it means a lot to me in life when people take responsibility for their actions, not just always going for the glory and deflecting the not so glorious. BTW - We're hours apart in birthday, I'm 9-2 but a different year ...
