Personal or Premier

I am in the content writing industry and plan to open a Paypal account. Would a `personal' account be suitable or a `premier.' Thanks a lot in advance for your advise.

I have also heard discussions about Paisapay in this forum. Does that work just like Paypal and can my overseas clients use the same to send money to me?

This depends upon your needs, if you only planning to send/receive paypal credits then a personal would just fit for you, however if you would like to sell items online or something like that you would need to have a premier/business account with paypal.

Let me caution you that on premier/business accounts has different fees when receiving a money. More info just logon to their website or contact their customer service department using skype this is their number: +1 888 221 1161

    Hope this help ;)

Thanks a lot to you all for your replies. I am from India. As far as purchasing is concerned, I just buy software relevant to my field of work. As far as selling is concerned, I just sell data, if you term that as "online selling," in the form of written text etc. Suppose I begin with a personal account, can I change it later to a premier account, if so required?

I had a tough time understanding the accent of the person in their help-desk, so that was not much of a help. BTW, I did not get any feedback on Paisapay, which is also a part of eBay.

It all depends on the amount of money you would receive and withdraw each month. Go for a PErsonal account to begin with. You can always upgrade it later depending upon how much you earn

But the charges are very high in Personal account. So, it is not preferred for receiving huge amount.

it completely depends on the transaction amount made by you monthly.

Thanks for your reply. I shall not be making large transactions, since most of my regular clients pay me through bank transfer. This Paypal account shall only be used for receiving payments from new clients.

It is better to open a Premier account. Opening a Premier account is same as that of Personal account, it doesn't costs you more. also you can have some good features in premier account.

@Ragu_007: Well, it's too late since I have already opened an account. However, in case the need arises, I shall switch over from `personal' to `premier' which I believe is possible. Thanks for your feedback.

It is not at all a problem. You can upgrade your account any time. It is best to have premier account, since the charges are low when compared to Personal account.

You can choose premier so you can received more credit card payment but it has higher fees than personal. But if your getting more money from your content writing might as well choose premier
