    3. it wouldnt hurt to make sure your site registered for a period of time greater than 3 years.

    2) get visitors (like at least a thousand a day): link building, being active on forums, social search etc.
    3) optimize your ads for your design, using channels and testing, testing, testing.
    4) keep building the website

    Link exchanges aren't actually a very good idea. Build the kind of site that attracts 'natural' links. Submitting to free directories is never a bad idea, especially if you find niche directories that fit your site. Other link-building activities are frequently discussed in this forum.

    work hard on your original and unique content: if you have a website that people want to visit daily, you will have more chances of being succefull.

    Thats easier said.. getting traffic is the key.. these are very basic points - but can't give a better answer to a very basic question :D

    You may work hard on link building and other SEO techniques.

    Totally agree. So far i did not get the benefit i was expecting from link exchanges or link buys. I guess natural links are much more valued. And the key to get natural links is to have valuable content. If you have valuable content, then you may also ask backlinks from non-commercial sites in your niche.

    I think content and traffic is key to earn more in adsense.if content is having targeted keyords and unique you will be getting more related ads on the page.
    more the traffic on the site results in more clicks will increase your revenue.
