Has anybody noticed a significant 20-30% drop in the Yahoo site explorer inbound links today? All our sites lost between 15-30% of inbound links.

We have experienced an even bigger drop (over 40%). But no changes in SERPs :)

I think that's normal. Try to wait to sometime and recheck your backlinks again. Maybe the are just updating backlinks for now.

Apparently the API is being stopped in December. I'm not sure whether or not they're stopping the open data table in YQL or not though. Does anyone know much about this?

This type of thing has become a routine. The SE give their algos a twerk just to check the rankings and placings of the sites. This usually gets us excited and so we pay more attention to the rankings then we ought to. Normally after a day or two if our work is legit we go back to where we were.
