On-page optimization is what you do ON a website, such as the content and the header-tags.

Off-page optimization is what you do OFF the website, such as building links.

 

Onpage optimization is optimization process of website in the form content and source code. So Quality content is very important in SEO. It should be informative and attractive. Offsite Optimization nothing but link building your site in all possible way like directories, blog, article submissions.
