I did a little write up about forum management and hopefully it'll help anyone who is looking to start a new forum. Just want to give something valuable back to the community :)

    Introduction to forum management

    Starting a new forum

Prepare your new forum - part 1

Next part will be very important. It'll tell you how to prepare the sections in your forum so you can maximize the potential of your forum and get people to join.
Hopefully I'll have it done over the weekend. :)

There is really no best forum software by definition. I also stated in my article that I personally like phpbb because that's the one I use the most and it is free. However I can tell you that it is not the best as most of here will probably agree with me.

What do you mean by "how do I get assignment of other forums that need writers , if I want to supply them writers?"

Do you mean post exchange with other forum owners?

    Nice tips there! :)
    Thanks for sharing...

I specially liked that you mentioned that "avoid registration to see the content in the first place".
    Best of luck :)

Yep it takes a lot of time and energy to run a successful forum.

walaboom what forums do you own?

My personal preference on forum software is vbulletin.

After your forums gets enough active members it will continue to grow without active marketing :) However, it then requires more management skills.
