This is where YOU should place your ads!

Looking through the different posts, you can see a lot of people that place their ads in places that seem spontanious and stupid. Remember, people do look for ads, they look for your content, so if you avoid the user's focus, you will not be getting his click on your ads. Secondly, is the placement relevant, is it visible?

I generally am against placing ads at the bottom of a page, as people will not automatically look there. Ask yourself - why is the user at my site? What is he looking for? And where is he looking? Visit your own site as if you were that visitor.

The visitor is visiting your site with a purpose. He's looking for CONTENT! Why not place the ads where the content is? Inside the actual content!! At which stage of the visit is it natural for your visitor to want to click ads?

Advice - place an ad below the title of the article, and make sure to blend the colours to avoid them realising it's an ad. They will read the title then scroll down and on the way they see the ad. Perfect, as this will bring in some clicks. Besides that, where will the user look and when is he ready to earn you money? AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE. Chances are he'll want more info even after reading your article. And how do you make him even more likely to click ads? Cut your conclusion. Leave him interested and looking.

If you end an article on sugar your conclusion could be something like

"From the previous mentioned information on sugar it is essential to conclude that" and you stop it there. The reader will be surprised as something is missing, and it will make him keep looking, and then you place the ads right below, and his curiosity will be your gain!

Please, people. Think about your ad placement!

I would try to place an Adsense Large Rectangle Ad inside the contents first paragraph not below the title.
It is better for the reading flow of the website and looks much more like part of the content itself.

Nice idea with the cliffhanger at the end before the Ads.
However if you want readers to come back you can't do that on all your articles otherwise visitors feel themselves punked

Placing your ads also under the header is a good idea. Based on my experienced, I have got lot of click on the ads under the header.

I always prefer to add my ads at the right hand side of the page but under the header is a good idea too
