Contest PSD 2 layouts - Up to USD$200 for winner - 4 Prizes = $200

I'm after a brand new page layout for - ultimate midi karaoke dot com based on this logo.



I just need the layered .psd files here and they do NOT need to be coded. I really just want a respectable design that I can work-with. I can create the html based on your design.

I hope this post is not too long, it seems most serious DPers work better when they're more informed of the facts so i've tried to include everything I need here. Please read as much as you can tolerate before setting to work and wasting your time.

I'm thinking magazine cover design, cd cover design or dvd album sleeve could be the overall look that's required though you may think something much simpler and out-of-the-box. I love simple and out-of-the-box too.

Background: I collect midi karaoke files as a personal hobby and have enjoyed years of fun singing with them. I finally put my now huge collection onto a disk and everyone that buys it just loves it and most come back yearly for the updated version.

What i'm after is a more attractive front page for the site that reflects how good the disk is. There's enough songs that you can sing all year non-stop and many of them are not available elsewhere online.

I am also thinking about offering resellers a $10 commission to onsell it so I want to incorporate a login box or simply a link somewhere on the page for resellers to log in and see how much they have made. I do have a JV script to do this job but as yet remains untested so that option may need to be removed if the script proves faulty (PM me anytime if you want to be one of the first on-sell it).

The pages you create can be a very-professional layout to a semi-professional layout as I always want my visitors to know it is a personal website and not created by some huge corporation. It needs to be a friendly page, just like me.

It should be a unisex main page design with an obvious musical / karaoke theme leaning towards the male persuasion if anything. I will also need a similar but simpler (background) page where I can put more product information such as faq, songlists, links etc. That's 1 outstanding psd main page and 1 simpler psd page to include a variety of information (2 pages all up).

It needs to be an eye-catching design that screams karaoke. It should be up-with-the-times and above all it should be focused on favoring the people that purchase my truly fantastic disk.

Pages definitely need to include:
1) Song list links # A B C D E etc. through to Z (both pages)
2) Testimonials or Feedback (both pages)
3) Free karaoke song (of the day) (main page)
4) Newsletter login box (both pages)
5) Updates - room to put a couple of new titles (both pages)
6) Product information (both pages)
7) Order disk now (both pages) - most important
8) Contact me (both pages)
9) Resellers link or login box (main page)

* In addition to the initial $100 prize-money, the winner of this contest will also be immediately offered a further $100 to produce 4 other similar artworks based on their website concept.
Disk graphic - printed on the disk itself.
Jewel CD Sleeve - the jewel case cover. front/back
DVD Sleeve / the DVD album cover. (1 piece front/back)

TIME LIMIT: Now some competitions have a lot of entries and some not so many so if this gets not-so-many and I don't like any designs this contest will simply remain open until a winner is found so please keep entries coming until I announce the winner(s).

I would love to have it wound up this week but being realistic, DPers may be busy elsewhere this week and this competition IS being run by myself, for myself and not for my business and I can not personally afford to simply choose any old design and pay out so much money unless I get the right design which means it may go much longer than a week. No matter what or when, I fully guarantee all payment(s) immediately once I decide to use any design.

Once the winning entry appears, I will announce ALL 4 winners taken from entries received.

All valid entries must fit the brief perfectly. I will announce ALL valid entries to this competition as they appear. If by chance the winner is chosen before 4 valid entries appear then the prize pool will reduce to the existing valid entrants.

As is always the case, once payment has been made I will own all copyrights to the winning design. Contestants may use their own designs for their portfolios.

@Monty251 - not bad eh, I can see the effort you've put in. As the first entry that's completed the brief well (and you tried hard at my last contest) I will now pay you a bonus of $10 anyway. Please let me know your Paypal email and I will pay that today.
Now my initial comments are it looks too standard, though it is well set out. I'd definitely prefer the 'order now' stood out some more.
