Hi Friend, i am doing SEO from last 12 months but i am not aware of black, white, or gray SEO. i had read in one site, there is three types of SEO. and they are displayed these three. Request you to let me know about these three.
well to be honest i find it strange that you have been doing SEO for a year and never found out about these terms. white hat seo: on site optimizations, search engine submissions, the odd social bookmark. grey hat seo: reciprocal links, link trading for the sole purpose of seo, many 2.0 bookmarks and links for your site created by you. black hat: keyword stuffing, blog commenting spam, 2.0 properties spam, link wheels, just to name a few
Black hat: all spamming and hidden links when we use in seo..like spam blogging White hat: white hat means purely following google search engine algorithum rules how to do SEO with on page optimization and off page optimization.
I agree .. Strange that you haven't heard of those terms if you have been doing SEO for over a year. That being said, if you don't know what black hat is then you probably are not doing it.
White hat SEO techniques that search engines accept. White hat SEO techniques are beneficial for site visitors as well as for search engines. The best method to get good traffic to your site, but it is very time consuming method. ..Black hat SEO is the use of techniques that are unacceptable to search engines to boost a page's position in search results. They have no benefit to site visitors. That can lead their sites penalized by search engines. Gray hat SEO is questionable SEO techniques but not in the same category as black hat SEO techniques.

just different approaches towards seo, blackhat is aggressive and bears a little bit legal risk, but it's still vague at the moment

White hat is that SEO which is accepted and considered by search engine ethical Black hat is that SEO which is not accepted and considered by search engine unethical Gray hat is that SEO which is intermediate between the white and the black SEO. Some search engines accept it but some don't.
