I just tried to do a search on Google and got this: Server Error The service you requested is not available at this time. Service error -27. Does anyone know what this means? Are they down? Why?
It is for me in the UK. Some virus apparently causing problems for search engines. Yahoo is up and down too.
I noticed that Yahoo is up and down, too. It refuses to go past the second page in any of my searches. I didn't notice anything wrong with google, though.
No way, same old Google, just a bit smarter, they are still up to the same thing. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=domains+advertise+for+sale&btnG=Google+Search ADSENSE partners still rating real high in the SERP's, got to rev up those IPO dollars you know.......
They are reportedly being hit with the MyDoom.O virus. Check out this article: http://isc.sans.org/diary.php?date=2004-07-26 I've been checking and I'm having problems with Google, Yahoo, Alexa and Overture... Anyone else having problems? Maybe someone is mad they can't get in on the IPO.
Remember the last time this happened it was Akamai's name servers that were attacked and not the individual companies. http://www.akamai.com/en/html/services/overview.html
West Coast down. Also Yahoo and MSN have been in and out of production. Pretty big news on the WWW today though. Hurtin business a little.
Where is Compar when you need him? Oh, I will say it for him! "It's a big conspiracy Anthony, that is all it is!"
Noticed that error at about 16:00 GMT and the service has been down ever since - traffic is still OK though...
Whatever... sounds like to me that they are just having problems getting it up! Maybe they just need a good dose of cialis or viagra.
BBC news picked up that there may be a virus infection parts of G - MyDoom variant.... If it's BBC must be true...... M
