A few days ago Google launched new service - Google Instant, which suppose to make search faster.
    Here is official site: http://www.google.com/instant/#utm_campaign=launch&utm_medium=van&utm_source=instant

They claiming that this new service has many benefits:
Faster Searches, Smarter Predictions and ...

But is it really faster and better?
They will run queries while I'm typing, which will consume more of our bandwidth, results will be jumping and disturbing and I may spend time looking on results that eventually I was not really intended to see.
Another problem is adwords, the number of ad impressions will increase, while people even not looking on them.

My feeling this is another Google service that will eventually fail. What do you think?

It's great for the end user, no doubt about it.

For us webmasters though.. it can only be seen as a negative change I fear.

It depends on the user really, if its an experienced searcher its a bit annoying and distraction. If its a new searcher, it can be a little time saver, I think Google is starting to educate the new generation searchers of how to do it their way (Google way)

Google know's it's user base. They wouldn't implement something that would affect their business negatively. So for sure Google Instant is beneficial to both Google and the users.

This statement is true for every business, but people doing mistakes and it is natural. Following your logic, Google wave should be their success, but instead it discontinued.
I'm sure instant is the next, unless they will change/improve it. As for now it brings non relevant results, you spend time reading results that still not relevant to your query, - and all that called time saving. I would call all that is Google's next press release about how number of searches grow last month.

Well, I find Google's habit of telling us what we want, the most annoying thing I have ever seen! I hate this. Besides, it is bad for long tail keywords, and some people are already complainting of income loss.

As already stated in terms of the end user who wants good results easy and fast its great, unfortunatly tho it will mean people will use less different search terms the main search terms are going to get seriously competative and even more expencive to be able to try and get to the top, so for site owners and SEO companys its going to mean a lot of changes.

I don't like it at all. I switched it off the moment they implemented it. It's good that they have the option for turning it off.

Oh yeah.. Same with what happened to Google Buzz and Google Wave, EPIC FAIL.

Frankly speaking, I don't like it because it is just utterly annoying and Google Instant should better stay only with people who has their Google accounts logged on their browsers.

Paid Advertising goes high, page impressions goes high, traffic will increase however bounce rates would also increase and sales conversions would drop IMO.

I kinda liked the Google Bubbly logo more. :)
