Yeah! Floods in Pakistan creating big & worst problems... I can see several World Celebrities including Angelina Jolie making helpful donations for Pakistan! Floods affect-es
Yeah but first Pak rejected IND offer .. don't know the reason but watched on news and finally they accepted .. don't know the reason why accepted later ..
This is a very lame thing to say. We are not a terrorist nation, we don't go about terrorizing the rest of the world in the name of enforcing our idea of democracy, that's the job of the US government. In fact terrorism going on here is also the aftermath of the US operations in this region. In any case, this request for donations has nothing to do with terrorism or politics in any way whatsoever. It is for the affectees of one of the worst natural calamities in recent history. The number of those effected by this flood is above 20 million, which is more than the entire population of most of the countries in the world. Your comment is very inhumane, ignorant and irresponsible, as well as hurtful to those who have been effected by this disaster. I hope the admins take action against such a post by banning the user, unless he/she apologizes for saying something this lame. Correction: Pakistan did not reject the Indian offer. When the offer was made, Pakistan thanked India for it and asked for time to consider, and within a day or two of consideration, accepted it. The consideration was required due to the history of the two nations as whenever something like this comes up between two nations who have been at war on and off, everything needs to be considered before a decision is made. Though I'm glad both our governments took these steps - the Indian government's step of offering aid and our government's step of accepting the offer - as I see it as something that could possibly lead to a better relationship between the nations and their people. I thank the Indian government for this offer. I hope this clears things up. It's always a great thing to be hopeful and to think positively. I believe it is about time that we put our differences behind us and join hands towards prosperity for both the countries. Neither of us can afford any tensions between us anymore. There are malicious agents on both sides, in India and in Pakistan, who don't want peace. We must not let their propaganda influence our thoughts against the masses of both the nations, as the general public of any nation wants there to be peace and prosperity. There is already enough negativity in the world for us to add more to it.
From what i read in TOI, its only because of US "push" that Pakistan accepted the offer. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ian-aid-after-US-prod/articleshow/6369785.cms
I wouldn't put my blind faith in what the newspapers say. And I am not referring to Indian newspapers only; media of both our nations has played a significant part in widening the gulf between us by its propaganda against the opposed nation. In fact, over half of the global chaos the world is facing today could have been prevented if the media would have done its positive effort rather than propaganda based on political causes. Lets hope things do change over the future though.
Okay.. you seem like someone reasonable. When is the last time you caught a terrorist who claimed that he was trained by India? How many insurgents with weapons (and an agenda) has Pakistan caught sneaking in from India? When is the last time we blamed Pakistan for causing a flood (or any natural disaster) in India? When was the last time our politicians insulted a visiting dignitary from Pakistan? Forget all that.. when was the last time you helped us? (other than sending blankets when the Gujarat earthquake happened.. thanks for those) I am all for peace, forgive and forget and so are most Indians, but you have to agree we get fed up with your governments double standards P.S: You need to learn to multi-quote
Can we please keep this on the subject of Donating for Pakistan Flood Relief, thanks! You want to argue about other stuff - take it to Politics and Religion.
Sure thing mcfox, this discussion does not belong here, yup. I need to clarify on the questions vibinhari asked, but since that wouldn't belong here, I'll just do that in PM.
