Contest $10 contest for a simple graphic - 24 hours

Hey there,

I'm looking for a stylish little graphic for my plus size mens clothes website which emphasises the fact that we've been selling online since 2000

The graphic is to go somewhere on the header (I'm open to suggestions), shouldn't take up too much room because I've still got some other stuff to fit in there, must fit with the overall theme of the site and must be absolutely professional looking.

The text can be anything that suits your design, for instance, 'selling online since 2000' or 'online since 2000', or 'est 2000' - the point is just to get accross the fact that we've been online since then - feel free to choose whatever wording best fits whatever design you have.

I'll be at my computer for the next 12 or so hours and then again after a wee sleep and I'll try to give as much feedback as possible. I'll pick the design I like (assuming I like one) around this time tomorrow and payment will be immediate via paypal.

The canny amoung you may notice that whois says different but I promise you, we've been selling online since 2000

Hi Chris, it's a little too imposing, I was looking for something more subtle. Also the text obviously matches the site design coz it's like a stencil but it just doesn't look classy enough, it looks a bit military to me. Decent effort though, thanks

arunefx, that's not bad. Still a bit in your face though. perhaps it would look better if it was smaller and maybe over to one side or in a corner or something.

I want it to be noticeable but I don't want it to be the prime attraction. It's just for re-assurance if the visitor needs any, not for drawing their attention immediately. I don't want them to get distracted from looking at the categories and clothes unnecessarily

Hi Manish Mistry, I'm not too keen on that design if I'm honest. It takes up too much space and it is a bit too basic compared to what I was hoping for.

Hi arunefx, I like the 2nd one best. It definitely looks better smaller. (In fact I'd maybe take it slightly smaller - but don't worry about actually doing that). I'll keep this design in mind, at the moment it's probably the best. Feel free to come up with other designs tho, I like your work.

Colours, rotation etc are all changable. Font matches that of website.

 

@ theledgendary - sorry didn't spot that before I went to dinner. I think it's a bit too much in your face.

As I've said to others I want something that is noticeable but not something which draws the eye that much. The idea for this bit of graphic is just to reassure someone if they need reassurance, I don't necessarily want it to be the first thing they look at. Only if they are looking about deciding whether they should trust my site or not, the graphic is not the centerpiece of the site.

@chris B - I'm still not all that keen on that style, it's maybe a little too plain, I don't know.

@adobeeffect - not bad, if anything same critisism as some others, a little too over powering. May that's the type of logo which could go into the top corner.

@finalstraw - not sure about those, the last two are a bit hard to read, esp the last one. Maybe the 2nd one, if it was framed a little better might be ok?

This contest will be open for another 14-15 hours or so, so don't worry about needing to rush. I want people to have a chance to get an entry in but I also realise you guys want to know who's won.

I appreciate all the entries so far, please keep them coming.

Also everybody so far is opting for bottom right of the logo (also should point out that some of the entries the graphic swamps the logo a bit in my opinion) there are other places on the header it could go - top right for example.

@aRie keRRopi, hummmm... not sure, possibly the smallest version and I'd place it over to the top right and maybe make it a bit smaller but that would make it hard to read.

I think I'm sort of looking more for a badge or plaque proudly declaring the 2000 thing, but which isn't too big, not too brash and that could be placed in the top right or somewhere near the logo.

keep them coming please - I'm off to bed now but there's a good 12 hours of this contest left and I'll give more feedback to whoever comes up with an idea when I wake up again - I appreciate all the efforts
