Help !! I have a UK site .co.uk domain but have US ads displaying I can't find a way of disabling so I only get uk ads Any advice ? Thanks
May i ask where most of your visitors are coming from? The Us ads that do show are there advertisers for it in the UK as well?
All ads are related to visitors IP. So, if you live in US you gonna see US ads. When I go to my site I can see ads on my language. I am shure that visitor from UK does not see them. He see UK related ads.
] Well you could use the competitive url filter but that way the ads wont show at all. But as you mentioned that you visitors are mostly from the UK it might be worth a try. Did you try adding some uk content related info around your ads? Maybe this will prevent the ads for not showing up.
The IP thing must be it I'm at work and the IP is in the US I'll try it tonight when I am at home from a UK IP Thanks for your help
The AdWords advertiser decides, not you. As an advertiser I can select where my ads will show up and to whom. If I'm in he US and want to market a product/service world wide, it will show up on your site.
My main site is hosted in the US but written in the UK. By far the highest payout for ads is during the middle of the night and the lowest is for UK daytime. By all means try to get more UK orientated ads but expect lower income from each ad clicked. At a guess I'd need 4-5 UK ads to be clicked to get the income from 1 US click Cheers BP
Geez, Pete, you're a star commuter. More seriously, though, a lot of ads will be IP geo-targeted not just to country, but also to region - so if you're in NYC, you'll see more ads targeted at New Yorkers instead of just general US - if you're in Scotland, you're see ads targeted at SCottish users, rather than general UK.
