Anyone know what the real number is? (it's not 100, so please don't link to that FAQ page as an answer ) I was uploading some pretty large changes via editor and got a message that it wouldn't go through becuase I would exceed account limitations...but it didn't specifically say it was related to the number of ad groups (in this case about 4K new). I shot an inquiry off to Google already but was thinking maybe someone here has already been there done that? Thanks.
Whatever it is it will be something stupid, I can tell you that. Do post it though. You must have their phone number though, ringing is much faster (though you do get the wood ducks at times).
lol. If I don't get a response here soon I'll give them a call. I'm still cecking out some things too - I have other campaigns that have right under 4K ad groups that I just created recently - they went through no problem. I'm wondering if maybe I hit some other limit... I'll post more when I get the word.
Ok, problem solved and I have an answer that's not really an answer The guy I spoke with basically said that AdWords accounts have a size allocation and any element, or combination of elements, (ads, keywords, etc) can cause you to exceed your account limitations. He could not tell me exactly what it was in my account that caused the error but did up my max account size. I'm going to kick the upload off in here in a minute and make sure everything is in order.
Yeah, We can have more than 100 Ad Groups. I have 144 Ad Groups in One Campaign. I was wondering that how was I able to exceed the limit of 100. Now, I know the answer. The Ad gropups are single keyword Ad groups.
