Petrol rates hike by Rs 3.50 in India, Kerosene by Rs 3 , LPG by Rs 35.

Everyone supporting " BHARAT BAND " ( A complete shut down of India for 1 Day )

I am supporting Bharat Band, Are you supporting ??

 

YAWN, I went to office today without a problem. This won't achieve anything except loss of business.

 

Yes, I support bharat band because the hike is very high. Certainly India Government has to review the increased rates.

 

I'm not from India so I wouldn't know what it is. What is Bharat Band? Why would India shut down for 1 day??

 

I wont support. Big oil companies are suffering huge loss due to the high oil price. If we take up the price hike, government will have more money to spend on other things rather than covering up for the loss.

 

I aint supporting anything. I see the loss of revenue of a full working nation which includes people going to jobs. i do not thing that a bandh by the people of india (which has not been completely implemented) is the answer to fight back against the government for hike in prices. Seriously we need to think of some better literal methods to get over stuff like this.

 

Bandh is the Hindi word for strike. Bharat is the Hindi name for India. Opposition political parties have called for an all-India strike against increased fuel prices.

I think this is only political issue against the ruling party and opposition want to take the advantage of this issue in coming elections.

 

It is definitely an issue that affects us but calling for strikes is not the solution. The real solution is voting out this government is the next elections

 

Lol i see the news .. nothing is happening Govt already said they wont reduce the prices of Fuel . Simply a waste of time .

 

The stupid bandh was a big flop except in places where it was forced by threats and violent means.

This was just a political stunt - nothing more.

If BJP and its allies were really concerned about the state of the economy, they could have just gone and talked to the government;

or maybe they could have started a hunger strike, so that the common man didn't have to suffer.

 

This Bharat Bandh is of no effect.. Instead of doing bandhs, we should act in some other ways.. Peace Talks can make things better...

The taxes levied on petroleum products are much greater than the subsidy provided at the retail level.

On net basis, the central government makes a fortune from these petroleum products (petrol, diesel etc).

Petrol in India is more expensive than in US and many other developed countries.

More than half of petrol's price is because of the taxes levied on it by the central and state governments.

Excise duty : Rs 9.75
State Tax : Rs 8.00
Vat Tax : Rs 4.00


And now Rs 3.50 more.............
