I cannot find the answer to this, so I assume it is NO. But, if we are using a background image for a page (say, for a textured background), then can we set AdSense so as to allow the texture to be seen behind the ads too? Thanks for your help. Ajeet
Funny co-incidence - I just ran into that for the first time. All my other Adsense are on parts of sites with solid backgrounds. But I just added to a site that has a slightly textured wallpaper and I had to compromise with the best match color - but it looks wrong.
I'd be very surprised if they added such a feature. But then again, they have so many BETAs going they might have a crack at it just for fun.
Yeah, I'd be suprised too, textures may make the text hard to read, they probably wouldn't allow custom ones for that reason. And the default ones probably won't match most people's site design.
More important that readability, there migye be text in the background that might interfere or otherwise misrepresent the advertising
It actually is possible to do this, they are called "collapsing as units" by Google. Read about them here: https://www.google.com/support/adse...7&ctx=en:search&query=collapse&topic=0&type=f
umm... isn't that to have the ad unit "dissappear" (instead of having an alt url) if there is no ad inventory to show on your page?
