    Hey guys,

When i started my blog, i didn't do anything, not even making my blog do-follow, and i got PR2 for it. Now, i do make make my blog. do-follow, getting more backlinks, getting more traffics, and my pagerank dropped to 0.

I have read another threads, is it temporary or fixed (final) ?

Thanks for the suggestions and ideas! :)

It could be due to an update to the PR - for how long do you see it zero?
In any case PR is really a non-factor, I wouldn't give it another thought. You are saying yourself you are seeing more traffic. As long as you create good and original content you are on the right way....

I just checked it today, only today, i check because i have read a post in a blog about PR update, so i checked mine too, and it is dropped to 0 :(
But you are right, i have my traffic as usual, and my keyword winning stays the same.

If your blog is now dofollow, it means you have to give extra special care to any links inserted in comments. Linking to bad sites could cause you to lose your own PR. So make sure that there are no bad links in the comments on your blog.

@enous, i have read in some blogs, it is page rank update.
@simpseo, yes, that i know, i am very strict to my commentators, and check the website first before approving them, and i am sure it's not about the comment.

Let me ask a question to you:
What do you gain by gaining page rank, you want to sell links or are you planning to sell your blog
If it is then, of course, you need to sweat about PR
But if you are planning on gaining SERP rankings and monetizing your site by selling ad space, then there are other things which you need to sweat about, forget PR as that dont count for any of these.
Keep building backlinks and think about gaining rankings in googles index, that can help, and pagerank will follow.
I have a site which was PR4 and got penalized as someone (competitor, of course) reported me for selling links (duh) but what happened....nothing actually, just my PR went from PR4 to PR0, but i am still No.1 for that keyword in the industry (since 4 years) and still draws traffic and money, guess what, the second site in the rankings in google is PR6, so who gains here, 2nd site or 1st site.

Hi, thanks for your useful answer :D No, i dont want to sell link or planning to sell my blogs, i have started this blog 4 months ago, and i want to keep it.
Thanks for this explanations :) I am new to webmaster stuff, this is my first blog ever..and i was so happy to get pr2.
I also just notice my earning increased today lol..Pr down and earnings up, i actually don't really worry about PR what i am worried is "Dropped PR" = 0 Organics Traffics. But your explanation really opens my eyes, that it's nothing to do with SERP. Thank you!!

There has been a recent PR drop (penalty). So people's rankings have dropped prior to the PR update because their site if flawed in some way. Spammy or other.

It may be a temporary change for your site. Don't worry about that, just pay attention to update your content and wait for the next change.

Google is devaluing some links. Most of this links come from blog commenting and WEB 2.0 properties. One of my blogs drop from PR4 to PR0 but not its SERP so nothing to worry.

In my own experiences, setting your blogs do-follow would be a nice idea for generating traffics but it would also lead to a big problem of blog commenting spam. I think this would be the reason behind the PR drop since you might have too much irrelative contents on your pages from spammers.

    Have a nice day,

if traffic is your main concern, don't worry too much about the page rank.
