Arrow What about registering celebrity domain with some changes?

Hi! I'd like to know your opinion.

I want to register a celebrity name that could be "britnyspears.com" or "brucewilis.com"... did you notice anything wrong? these names are no longer correct (missing letters).

Could I have legal troubles registering them with the only purpose of sell them later??

Thanks in advance.

You don't think, that's the problem. (just kidding, seo-mumbai. )

Unfortunately that's not true. There are various decisions ordering transfer of
domain names to their respective complainants even if they were typos.

While I've yet to read of any celebrity successfully win such, I have little to
no doubt they can still win as long as the requirements are still met.

Why else register those domains than to ride on their names which potentially
have established trademark rights anyway?

Because "typos" domain receives many visits (even if domain is parked or not developed), and of course to make business selling it.

Unfortunately I don't like advocates... I think I shouldn't register that celebrity name I have in mind

Regards.

If you develop them as a fansite (non-commercial use) then it would be fine.

Not possible after the OP actually answered his/her own question:
