While I wasn't intending to offer any further sales on my press release writing through the end of the year, I've decided to pass along the benefit of a calm holiday week by offering 20% off of press release writing from today through Friday (day after Thanksgiving). I'll accept orders that come in through Friday, but I won't be writing on Thursday or Friday due to the holiday. Orders placed after 2pm (US eastern time) on Wednesday, including Thursday and Friday orders, will be written and delivered by Monday at the latest. Rates Regular: $99 Sale Price: $79.20 (20% off) Editing rates are also 20% off for this week. Why hire a PR professional when I can hire a cheap copywriter instead? Because most copywriters simply follow a template. They can get the basic press release format, but they rarely know how to write a real media-focused press release. A public relations professional, such as myself, understands that "writing for the media" is vital, and we're trained to do it much more effectively. That's why I've had my releases picked up in major newspapers, lead to on-air radio interviews, and coverage in large online media outlets for past clients. When you pay for a professional to write your release, you know that the content, and not just the formatting, will be handled appropriately. A professional can also help you craft a better news angle for your release, and give you guidance on distribution (from the best online outlets, to the best distribution days, to being able to handle a manual distribution campaign using media databases and personal media contacts and relationships that copywriters generally don't have access to). Samples: Sample 1 Sample 2 Sample 3 Sample 4 I have many more samples available upon request, as well as references. Does the sale price include distribution? No. Press release distribution is a separate service I offer. While I'm planning to move my firm exclusively to PRnewswire for online mass distribution by early next year, current options still run at $5 per free distribution site to cover my time. While PRweb is a popular option, they no longer provide a way for a client to have an outside professional post a release for them before they can upgrade. Therefore, if you want to hire me to distribute across PRweb, you'll be required to have your PRweb upgrade fee plus my $5 distribution fee, sent to my Paypal account (or otherwise transferred to me and cleared) before I will post your release there. I also offer manual distribution options. My basic regional campaign includes up to 25 direct and hand-picked media outlets, and runs at $500 per campaign (this option can also be used to reach 25 online outlets rather than regional). For a limited time, I'm allowing smaller manual orders, but at the same per-outlet rate of $20. The smallest manual campaign option I'm making available (likely through the end of the year) is $200. Questions? If you have questions about my services, would like to request additional samples, or have questions about press releases in general, please don't hesitate to PM me or email me at . I'm more than happy to spend some time explaining the process and benefits of press releases as a publicity tool if you're still getting comfortable with the idea. Ready to order? If you're ready to order a press release, and want to make sure you get in with one of this week's sale spots (I only guarantee 25 spots open during any given week, and squeeze in more if I find time - unlikely considering the holiday this week), you need to send me the following information: 1. The company name / url. 2. Your media contact person's full name, email address (should be at the company/site domain), and phone number (yes, it's required for the release, as most outlets won't accept them without it - mailing address is optional if you only order writing, but required if you order distribution online). 3. The hometown for your release's dateline. 4. The general news / information that you're trying to gain publicity for. If it's not particularly newsworthy in and of itself, I'll help you work on an improved angle at no additional cost. 5. Any background information that would be relevant - the launch date of a company or website, number of members, number of product sales, etc. - depending on the nature of your company / site / news. 6. The email address where you would like the release sent when it's written. 7. The email address where you would like the invoice sent (you can pay online with a credit card, e-check, or Paypal account via Paypal, or I can email you a standard invoice if you intend to mail a check or money order). After I review your site and preliminary information, I'll be in touch if I have additional questions or need additional background. Jenn
2 of Monday's spots are taken (meaning three left). There are still five spots left for Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday (must be ordered by Friday). Jenn
2 spots left for today, 4 spots left for Tuesday. Order before the sale ends if you need a press release written. Order Now for a Free Bonus!!! As an added bonus, anyone who orders 2 or more press releases during this week's special will receive free press room contents that they can add to their site. The offer is a $250 value, and you can find the details, and the benefits of having an online press room, listed in my press room service thread, under the "minimal press room" option. Press room contents will be completed within one week after receiving "interview" questions back from the client - not including weekends or holidays. Jenn
Tomorrow's the last day to get orders in to have releases written before the holiday (meaning last chance to have them written and ready to be distributed early next week). Jenn
