Go look around for articles on Yahoo Inclusion and other forums to see how long it normally takes and what the best ways are to optimize your site. I have a few articles on my site to get you started: How to submit your web site to Yahoo, the Open Directory Project and other directories (Part I) http://webmasterinvestments.com/News/SEO-Tips-Tricks/seo-tips-tricks-4.html Part II http://webmasterinvestments.com/News/SEO-Tips-Tricks/seo-tips-and-tricks-59.html Part III http://webmasterinvestments.com/News/SEO-Tips-Tricks/seo-tips-and-tricks-112.html Part IV http://webmasterinvestments.com/News/SEO-Tips-Tricks/seo-tips-and-tricks-58.html
Or spend a little time researching and you can spend that money on more useful marketing ventures. =)
