Do I need a credit or a debit card to create a paypal account and to accept money?

I want to create a paypal account simply for receiving payments. I do not have a business credit card, but I need to receive some payments ASAP. Could I create a paypal account to receive money and spend it online without using a credit or a debit card?

 

YEs You can..!

When paypal asks For the Card Infos, Look at the Bottom and you can see Go To Account Button..!

So click there and it skips the credit card adding step and you can use your account..!

No you do not need a credit card to get started with pay pal. Extreme is correct. Accepting payments is quite simple

You could always link to a BANK ACCOUNT too if that is a possibility for you. Been so many years since I set up mine but I believe there is a small delay so they can verify that you own the accounts. But again for getting quick payments as you asked is no problem.

You can also spend it online but of course at a merchant who accepts Pay Pal as a from of payment.

 

You cant use the money online using paypal anymore if you belong to India..!

For INdians, Paypal has made some rules
1. Purchase could be done only via Credit Card
2. Money By services and goods can only be transferred to bank or CC
3. Money in Paypal should be transferred to the bank account within 30 days..!

Paypal is screwing Indians nowadays...!

Better have a good read on thier Terms and COnditions..!

But it may be the case that I can have a verified paypal account with a bank and other accounts paypal verified only by credit card?
And download all verified PayPal accounts with a credit card to the main paypal account?

But am Sure Of One thing..! Every Transactions will eat some of your money as tax..!

and not sure whether we can have a many Paypa accounts From same Ip of same type(Premier,merchants and The other )

 

You dont need any kind of credit or debit card to setup PayPal account or even receiving funds... But to withdraw fund you need a bank account... Thats it , very simple...

 

cc or debit card needed to add funds to pp ( depends on country for debit card). as you just need to recieve payments you can setup pp without cc

Paypal is "screwing" Indians because of what you guys did. Many people in India were committing fraud and other illegal activities with Paypal, and as such, they got punished.

 

But US PayPal Accounts always require linking to debit/credit card.

 

This is not correct, i have money in my paypal account since 3 months.

 

I don't Think this is implemented yet . As i have my money from more than 2 months from now . I just purchased a hosting yesterday with my Paypal balance .

 

Paypal didn't do anything.

It was India's Reserve Bank (Central Bank) that made the changes in its rules.
