As most of you will know, yfs1 is quite a talker within this forum. For this reason, I thought of him first when I decided to interview some webmasters, to gain their views on their sites and philosophies. Read what he has to say about himself and his site, ArticleDepot. Do you agree or disagree with his views and comments? Find out what he has to say in this webmaster interview.
I agree with everything he says Yfs is a man of hidden depth. He is one of the best, most valued members on here, without a doubt. Good interview. I enjoyed reading it.
Thanks Padawan, your site is turning into a real resource. I'm actually really looking forward to the upcoming interviews with other DP members. If you have a directory, PM padawan as he is really easy to work with. Thanks Mellie
Thanks yfs1. By the way, I'm looking to interview webmasters with a wide range of sites, in addition to directory owners. Please PM me if you have a site that is either very successful, in an interesting niche, or just plain good fun to visit.
Sounds like a plan. But for Padawan I'll do it anyway with no strings attached provided he's interested in what I have to say.
I think he's offline until tonight but I am sure he will be interested. I for one would look forward to a T0PS interview on eCommerce. Thats a subject near and dear to my heart.
Excellent, I'll start preparing some questions. As yfs1 said, I'll soon be offline until tonight, so I'll catch up with you later.
I'm looking forward to reading it (even though I dont understand half the stuff you guys talk about..) Padawan ~ DP's very own Parkie.
Great interview Padawan. Good choice of questions. Great concept Yfs1. Did you write the database script yourself?
I bought a stripped down version from someone that was very basic. I worked with another DP member to develop it though. There are a whole list of features that will improve the front end and truly make it unique. Right now I'm working on the backend as we are trying to get the functionality as perfect as possible without complicating it. Thanks to those that have submitted so far. There are about 2500 articles currently and its been growing quickly.
I am contemplating using article submission more and more for both PR as well as SEO. I wanted to ask you, would you allow the following format articles: Maybe 3 to 6 paragraphs with the first 2/3ds being a 'real' article, honest stats and knowledgable opinions on a current topic and then the last 3d a slight turn towards 'selling' the product this article is really about. The first part will really have 'good effort' written over it with quality content for the reader and then in a subtle way it will go towards, "and a solution is now being offered by X in the form of product Z which works like so and so". Somewhat like a Press Release.
You had me at yfs1. Seriously though, I agree with what he said. I think there are some really knowledgeable people here on the forums. That's the reason why I joined. I would gladly read any interview that you posted on your site from the people here, for the most part.
How about Mella uncovered or Lady78 uncovered. Now that would be a thread. yfs1 uncovered... no offense man, but I just don't want to picture it
