Hosting a forum on my site

I have my domain with godaddy, but my site is hosted for free on wordpress.com.

Someone recently gave me their message board which is powered by xmb and I was wanting to host it on my site so it would be mysitename.net/board

But I'm not seeing any options on godaddy on how to make it like that.

Am I not able to do that since my hosting isn't with godaddy?

simply upload the board folder to your root directory on the server and restore the database backup given by this someone.
    what did he provide you?

Use a sub domain, like forum.yourdomain.com. Even with your blog with wordpress.com that will work. Ask GoDaddy's support to help you with the proper DNS settings.... won't be too complicated.

You can create a subdomain and upload files of wordpress. After that take backup of database and edit it with new url , then restore to new server.
