Hello! Don't you know is there a Yahoo update going on? <M\My website rankings droped for certain keywords, and for some got higher. And also it is showing my older version and newer on Yahoo (I mean index page). On usual search it shows my old version and on search of descriptionm tags and my domain it shows new version. What is happening? Is it Yahoo dance? Yahoo update? My website update by Yahoo? What is this? Please reply me anybody who knows. Thanks.
It happens from time to time just like serps in Google. If you are a real webmaster, you could just relax and do what you are doing.
I'm take comfort in the fact that someone has experienced a serious drop in their ranking (no offence ). Hopefully all will be restored shortly as I'm relying heavily on Yahoo traffic.
Why would smart people ignore yahoo and bing??? they have good traffic and if you rank well, you'll get good traffic. Have you ever heard about diversification? It's not good to rely on one source of traffic. Secondly, faisallatif, who told you that if rank in google well you will rank well in yahoo and bing? Can you browse this forum and learn a thing or two before you make uneducated comments? You know it's better to say nothing sometimes .
I have seen some drops of my keywords in yahoo. I think i need to concentrate more on link building now.
If it's any consolation, my own data tends to support the 06 April SERP reevaluation - mostly bad or very bad in my case, but a couple of pleasant surprises. Fear not - it's not you, it's us ...
It's interesting that you've come up with this thought as I have as well.. I've suffered yahoo droping sites completely and then them coming back a month or 2 later, with no changes made to the site. But this last time, I was getting some good traffic starting to build from yahoo and I submitted a url list to site explorer. The end result is that all pages except for the index page dissappeared from the serps. Slurp continues to crawl the site but no pages have come back. I recently resubmited the urllist with no changes.authentic coach purses So my next step is to delete the site completely from site explorer to see what happens.
Yahoo is always playing with the web rankings of the sites on a regular basis. Sometimes the websites might even reach the number one at Google but their Yahoo traffic may drop. They are clearly using two different ranking algorithms.
