Does embedding a Google Map on webpage help SEO?

Someome told me this can help search results, I'm a bit sceptical. Anyone have any 411 on this idea?

 

No it doesn't help, but creating specific landing pages does, I see you've already done that though.

 

Well, it depends on how you view the SEO world. If by adding the maps to your pages some people begin using them and so traffic is generated for your page, they could be nice but from SEO perspectives they will not help.

 

It may help with repeat traffic but like adding adsense no it does not help with on page seo.

 

Well, I guess not.
But it can negatively impact SEO as its a javascript being served from a external source which increases pageload time.

Not for a normal content. But if someone searches for an address, ur result might pop higher. If your website is about travel etc, its always a good idea to have it (even if it has no additional SEO benefits).

 

anything that is good and useful for the visitors is good for SEO!!!

 

Not sure about the advantage of it, but its definately a good idea to do a new style of SEO
