    Also, anyone who has got his/her PAN card by applying online can kindly elaborate the procedures involved in it

    u can see ur pan card no online within 4 days after applying by go through the gov site:

    As my information you can apply for PAN card online on IT website but it can be long procedure rather that manual.

    the online website says it takes 5 days if u apply online,.... but in reality it take s the same time online/ offline 25 ~ 30 days depending upon the queue.... and seeing that paypal is asking for it, .... u should expect an extra long queue in the coming days...

    visit the nearest UTI bank, i think,... they should have the forms,... thats where i was sent before i applied online,,.... this was last year i guess...

    Apply it online and make the payment by credit card. I did the same and got the card in about 10 days after sending the documents. It costs only Rs 65 and there is no need to go through an agent etc

    get your own at the earliest. it not at all difficult to get a pan.

    I received my PAN Card within 20 days. Applied at the nearest Karvy Stock Broker's office .. Had to pay 95/- for the same. :)

    what if there is a slight alphabetical error say for e.g. the name is rajesh pilot in paypal and bank account, but where as pan card got name rajjesh pilot, will this again be a cause of concern, then what should one do to rectify this small alphabetical error occured in pan card number

    Whats the online application link? Thats link in the 2nd post only shows already registered PAN canrd number.

    Well IMO, meet any lawyer. Give him Rs 200. He'll fill up the form for you and deposit it
