Hi all just checking my site and it shows no PR same with a few sites my backlinks are all over the place as well up and down anyone seeing this
There is NOT a PR Update going on! This is the elimination of PR. This is the end of Google Pagerank as we know it. -
And you know this how? Could be any one of a number of things going on, rollback, update, glitch.......
Isn't this a bit early to speculate. API is showing backlinks updated - Sleep on it and tommorow you'll probably be seeing more 'green'
Rollback? Update? I don't think so. It's pr 0 on most if not all datacentres. Even for www.google.com. Glitch? Maybe. We saw recently many "strange" things: google being down, adsense/adwords not updated for hours and hours ... and hours, toolbar pr not showing for any website, adsense not showing on any website.... I can believe anything now about google! Still, for their own good, I hope this is the death of toolbar pr!
At this point any guess is just as plausible as saying google is doing away with PR and that's all it is, a guess. Kind of early in whatever is actually happening to just say that it is anything definative.
Of course. But an update or a rollback though would normally show different PR values on different datacentres. Now it's not the case.
I've seen it, but interpreted it as a fix for the 302 redirect. If they were to kill PR, you'd think the first thing they'd do is change the toolbar so that it did not have the PageRank on it.
you would have to DL a new toolbar for the PR button to go away I think. Look at your toolbar - they are GRAY - not white. Its being deactivated.
This is very interesting...... I wonder what they are doing now.... They are so unpredictable..... Google is so interesting to watch... new levels still here: http://64.233.167.99/Top/
I don't think they will be killing the PR - I think it will still be an important factor in Google's ranking algorithm. They might "kill" the toolbar pr though. (And they should have done that long time ago!)
That's the other place you'd expect it to disappear. I have theorized that the 302 redirect affects even those not caught in it; it causes links from those caught to be discounted as non-existent or of less importance. I figured when it came time to fix it, they would have to totally dump and recalculate. I think we are seeing the dump. It's Memorial day weekend here in the states. Good weekend to do it, many people off for 3 or 4 days.
Nowbody can know for sure now. If PR reappears, this will have probably been a glitch or a "fix". Otherwise ....
