I have a good niche and lots of content on my site. I get about 70k a month and was thinking of adding a comparison store to my site. How much do you think I could earn. I know the info I have given you is vague and there are many variables, but is it worth setting up?
Absolutely would be worth setting up. You can earn a nice amount of money per month. With the information given, I can't give you an accurate estimation, but if you set your site up properly for affiliate offers, it will definitely be worth your while.
Well, depending on the niche of your site you can earn decent money. I have a site which gets similar visitors maybe more like 50-60k/month and combine its affiliate program with adsense...actually I make living mainly from this site. I have only one recommendation to you - take your time to choose a good affiliate partners, dig out the entire DP...take your time!
Thank you for your responses. OK. Interesting. I was thinking of subscribing to feeds and then building a front end that will search through the feeds. Is there any front ends that are asp.net that I can use, or start of using and re-code to optimise for my site? Secondly, I am based in the UK and Affiliate Window has some good affiliate clients, would I be able to subscribe to multiple feeds from different companies?
You can earn thousands of dollar! use specific product for your page, lot of product mean confusing your visitor.
The difficult part will be matching the products to the visitors. We recently created and launched a product based ad network that targets products specifically to what your visitors are looking for using our own algorithms and some behavioral data. We pay commissions instead of paying per click like most ad networks, so you have more earnings potential. On top of that we offer over 50 million products from CJ, Link Share, Share a Sale, Pepperjam, and Google Affiliate Network, so we cover everything
Hey IT-Store, That's some great traffic you've built up. Have you ever considered running a newsletter, or a campaign to capture visitors emails? You can certainly earn some great cash with ads/affiliate programs but you shouldn't rule out Direct Marketing as a potential revenue source. If you could capture those emails and your visitors are in a definable demographic - then you'd be set to make money down the road as well. I would look into running a "bi-weekly newsletter" featuring new products in the industry (that you review or promote) and perhaps some valuable tips to keep them opening the emails. With that kind of traffic I would certainly build a mailing list - even 100,000 opt-in emails can earn you some significant revenue for years down the road. Good luck! P.S. If you are an authority or have the trust of your visitors - DM campaigns can give you a pretty nice paycheck and help keep your overall site clean and ad-free.
Thanks guys. Some useful advice. We do have about 10k emails from competitions (they gave us their email). I could do with collecting a few more.
Nice work! You can certainly monetize a 10k mailing list. If you're prospects are all in a similar niche (IT/Tech?) then you can look into promoting related affiliate products to them. Another way to go about it is by contacting companies who's products you actually use and recommend, then asking about a reseller or affiliate contract (higher commissions ). Another tip when you're getting your mailing campaign together is to send out a few basic emails without promotions to get your prospects reading the emails and benefiting from their value - then they'll listen to you when you recommend a product. Always try and recommend products that you actually have tried and enjoy using yourself, it will help you a lot with sales in the future. Nice Work!
