Advanced Link Popularity Analysis Tool - RustyBrick

I wanted a tool to analyze my links and the value of those links to a specific page. So I built one. I named it the Google Link Popularity Analysis Tool. This tool basically looks at all your links for a specific page (the links are determined based on the link command in Google) and analyzes them for anchor text, pagerank and more. Why Google? Well, they are the only one that offers a free API to "ethically" obtain the data. Of course that limits you to 1,000 queries per day (or 10,000 backlinks) but we are going to make a paid version that allows you to run a single report over multiple days.

The free reports show PageRank data, internal and external link counts, anchor text weights, class C IP reporting and much more.

Check out the Google Link Popularity Analysis Tool today, please leave your comments below on the tool. Thank you.

Oh, if you have a lot of backlinks, the analysis can take a while to run. Takes about one minute per 100 links because it needs to crawl the pages you are linked on and analyze them.

    rustybrick,

I saw this on another forum. Great start! As we discussed on the "other" forum, there are a few challenges still to work out. I truly look forward to seeing the final product. Great idea and awesome tool!

Regarding the time to run the reports, I didn't have a problem while using my cable connection. ;)

    <OK, I'll take that $20 now...*just kidding*>

Awesome tool!! The only issue I see is that the flash 'processing' window didn't close after it was done but that is minor. And that the link anchor text from my backlinks is all over the map but that is my problem ;) . Very good job, I hope you have a fat pipe and lots of processing power :D.

    Hi,

great tool - finaly I can see things in one place...

    what is none? .....

It maybe good to have the results as csv downloads thus one can generate own stats or whatever and they wouldn't age on your server...

Look forward to use some of your bandwidth
    Regards
    M

none means that an image is linking to you with no alt text

The login version (paid) will have tons of features that allow for exporting data, report manipulation, email, pdf, and also graphing and analysis over time.

I tried your tool for a site with 580 links. It certainly does give a lot of detailed information.

I found it took a loooong time, and for some reason seemed to eat up resources on my own computer. That surprised me because I would have thought all the computing was being done on the server????

One of the issues with the tool is that it identified links with no anchor text, but I could not figure out what page that link was on, so there is no way to take corrective action. Am I missing something?

Its totally server based, we load text on the browser for you to see the results, so the backlink analysis page can take up a lot of resources if you click "view all". Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense - PM me your URL and I will run some tests here.

You can figure out which pages link to you with no anchor text by going to the backlink analysis page. Then you take corrective action. The paid version will allow for sorting and filtering that will facilitate this.

    Expact,

We worked on this yesterday, I plan on uploading the patches sometime this morning.

All of that should have been resolved.

But that is why we have this beta phase.

    Thanks for your feedback!

Impressive tool - certainly appears to be a "Swiss Army Knife" of SEO as it slices, dices, etc.

    Nice work!

Cool tool...just tried the demo....just a thought but looking at the results for the site I test, many of our relevant back links are missing...since goolge does not serve up all your backlinks anymore, for whatever reason, does this not seriously reduce the value of a tool like this?
